The Process

1| inquiry

After submitting the cake questionnaire I will contact you about availability. We will discuss the overall vision for your event cake, your budget, additional dessert options, and flavors you are interested in.

2| tasting

Tastings are by appointment and are typically held in my home office in Brentwood, CA. The tasting fee is $50, which is redeemable towards your balance should you book with Etta Avenue Cakes. Before your tasting a preliminary menu will be sent to you for approval. This ensures that the flavors tasted are uniquely yours. During your tasting we will further discuss your cake and dessert details and answer any questions you may have.

3| design

A proposal will be sent to you along with three sketches and accompanying quotes. Once a design is selected and approved a 50% non-refundable deposit must be placed to reserve your event date. There is an allowance of up to two design revisions included after placing the initial deposit. I will ask for final confirmation of details regarding delivery times, dessert table layouts, etc. one month prior to your event from you or your event planner. The remaining payment will be due in full two weeks prior to your event date.





Every cake is designed uniquely for each client and the flavors should reflect that as well. I do not have a set menu! After reviewing your questionnaire I will create a custom menu for you to choose from. Flavors will reflect seasonality of produce as well as your own personal tastes.  To get a sense of what my personal tastes you will find my suggested seasonal tasting menu below.

Every cake is designed only using inspiration from each client, not imitation, making sure that each cake is one-of-a-kind!

  • minimum orders are $1,000 regardless of size.

  • cakes are priced starting at $10 per serving. price may vary depending on level of intricacy.

  • undecorated kitchen cakes start at $6 per serving.

    • kitchen cakes offer your guests the same 4-layer slices that are served from your centerpiece cake.



small bites

Small bites are offered as a compliment to your event cake or as a dessert table option. If there is no event cake needed the minimum order of $1,000 is still required of a dessert table.

macaron towers

These delicate cookies come arranged on display cones, held into place with ganache. They can be accented with small floral arrangements and ribbon for an additional cost.

  • mini $75 | approx. 25

  • small $150 | approx. 60

  • medium $250 | approx. 100

  • large $450 | approx. 200

delivery and setup

  • $75 delivery fee within 30 mile radius, additional mileage outside of flat rate radius is $1 per mile.

  • cake cutting service starts at $50

  • cake table maintenance and service starts at $100. Pricing is dependent on hours worked and number of servers needed.
